Anyone can vote in our polls without an account, and those votes are counted. They are just counted separately, because we cannot verify them.
A free account moves your answer into the registered resident column, which is the number that actually means something when we publish a result.
Free, and we do not sell your details. We use your email to sign you in and nothing else unless you ask us to.
